5 Great workouts for Beginners!

At this point, those of us that have “lose weight and eat healthy as a resolution, have either fallen off or are staying strong! I thought I would list 5 workouts that I felt are great for those that are starting their journey or those that want something new to add.

1. 30 Day Shred (30DS)

30DS

Since being on tumblr for the past few years, I have heard a lot of people talk about 30DS and how they used it to start their weight loss journey. It is a 3 level workout dvd. You can spend 10 days on each level or move up whenever you feel like you are ready. Jillian Michaels is a great trainer and will really make you work for it. You will need some weights for this workout dvd. You can find it on Amazon.

2. 21 Day Fix

I love this one! My Beachbody coach was the one that helped me figure out that this was the best one for me. I am pretty good at keeping up with workouts but one of my problems is eating right and the right amount. This is great because you get a good idea of what the portion sizes are for your meals and the workouts are challenging but not too hard for a beginner. This program requires weights, a mat and bands depending on if you have no dumbbells.

3.Blogilates(Pop Pilates –

Now if you follow my blog then you already now about this girl. This is Cassey Ho and she is the creater of Pop Pilates! She offers free workout videos on you tube and if you sign up for her newsletter then you get a calender at the start of the month with workouts for each day.

4.Couch 2 5k-

ShowImageThis program is a great way to start running. It is a 9 week program but you can always stay on a week longer if you are not ready to move up to the next one. This is also a free program but some apps that you can add on your phone might want you to buy it.

5.PiYo

PiYo

This program requires no weights and no jumps. So if you have any bad joints then this is a great workout for you. It combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. It is made for all levels of fitness so great for everyone.

I hope this helps anyone that is looking to find a program and if you have any questions then leave a comment!
